Canadian utility proposes California desalination project

Moss Landing, Calif. — Utility service company Liberty Utilities, based in Oakville, Ont., has made a proposal to construct and operate a desalination plant using brackish water from wells at the mouth of the Salinas Valley in California. The proposal calls for a desal plant capable of producing up to 32,000 acre-feet of drinking water per year. The Monterey Herald reports. | READ MORE
